GOVERNOR AHMAD USMAN ODODO OF KOGI STATE AND HIS COUNTER PART OF SOKOTO STATE DR. AHMED ALIYU HAS COMMISSIONISED GANDE-MALE-GWAHITTO-FAKO ROAD UNDER SOKOTO RAAMP IN SILAME LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF SOKOTO STATE.

The Executive Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Ahmad Usman Ododo has led the Commissioning ceremony of 7.7 km Gande-Male-Gwahitto-Fako road in Silame Local Government Area constructed under Sokoto State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project RAAMP.

Performing the ceremony, the Kogi State Governor described the project as important as it touched the lives of the rural dwellers. Governor Ododo salute Dr. Ahmed Aliyu FCNA for his commitment towards bringing Development closer to the people especially the rural areas.

In his remark, Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto said the road is among the numerous developmental projects executed in just two years of his administration. Dr Ahmed Aliyu said apart from this road, his administration has also commissioned many different projects in sokoto state. Also, Sultan Muhammad Saad Abubakar praised the Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu FCNA for his concern to the plights of his people and urged him to sustain the effort.

Earlier In his welcome address, Special Adviser to Sokoto State Governor on Rural Roads Hon. Malami Muhammad Galadanchi said the road was constructed in partnership between Sokoto State Government, World Bank and AFD under Sokoto Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project RAAMP worth over 2.2 Billion Naira. During the commissioning, Sokoto SPIU presented to the Governor 3 awards they received during the last mission held in Abuja which are:

1- Overall best in Fund Utilisation 2024

2- Overall best in commitment presented to Sokoto State 2024.

3- Overall best in commitment among 13 RAAMP Participating States.

In a vote of thanks, National Coordinator RAAMP Engr. Aminu Muhammad Bodinga represented by Sokoto State coordinator RAAMP Engr. Malami Umar Tambuwal said the project has been executed to the highest standard in conformity with the given specification and quality assurance as contained in the contract document to ensure durability.
